how we invest

Early stage - TECH - Australia & NZ

We meet founders at the beginning of their journey, sometimes even before the company has been formed. We only invest in a handful of the 2,000 or so startups we look at yearly. So yes, it’s competitive, our bar is high.

But our inbox and network are always open, so even if you’re not a fit for Rampersand, it’s never just a no. We’ll do our best to provide an introduction or an opportunity, whether we invest or not.

The investment process we follow is designed to be fast, thorough and transparent, recognising your time is better spent building than pitching.
